In this episode we talk all things:
Final episode of 2021, season 2 coming in mid Jan - Here is sneak peak of how we are up levelling
Two practices I love to end my year with and how it inspires me to move forward.
I don’t journal for the sake of journaling, this is what journaling made me uncover about my life and my purpose when I was trying to put all the pieces together.
My favourite quote when reflecting to give me perspective of how far I have actually come amidst everything I still have to achieve.
My reflections of a few of the incredible moments this year and some of the lessons I have learnt.
Hint hint! One element I will be bringing more into my work next year to help my clients uncover their energetic blueprint for wealth creation and success.
The best decision I made to build engagement and community in my business.
The direction and scary investment I made that me get my sh*t together.
The best outsourcing decision I made in my business.
My routine for picking a theme for the year to stay focused.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you for following my journey and being a part of this community, love to you all xx

Welcome to the money mindset hub podcast. I'm your host Carla Townsend, and money mindset and success coach on a mission to normalize feminine wealth through empowering the minds of fierce females in business, you're in the right place if you are a female who wants to become a vibrational match to attract more wealth, freedom and abundance, but you just keep getting stuck, or there's something amiss. There's something blocking you from attracting that desired level of success and reaching your highest potential. So I'll be talking all things money mindset, energetics of money manifestation law of attraction, CEO mindset, and much, much more. Because the world needs more competent women like you with deep pockets. So let's get started. Hi, everyone, and welcome to the final episode for 2021. I can't believe we are here already. I can't believe that it is currently the 16th of December, as I say this, like, Wow, seriously, where has this year gone. This is also the 16th episode, this will be the finale of Season One. Season two, we'll be back mid Jan, I haven't exactly decided on the date yet. The next few weeks are going to be full on in creation mode. But this podcast is going to be coming back better than ever. I'm also going to be talking to some really inspiring women in the industry and business, about their journeys, and their own money mindset blocks and why it's so important and their experience of it. Because obviously, that's my bread and butter. It's all money mindset and success blocks. And I believe both of them go hand in hand. So I really want to interview women who I admire and see what their takeaways and what lessons you can learn from them. Especially if you're just starting out in business and you're only in that first couple of years. It's so easy to get caught up and go. I don't know if I want to keep doing this. I mean, honestly, I quit every day. Like I seriously do. And I know so many women in business quit everyday because there isn't a boss telling you what to do. There's no one going, Hey, you got to meet these KPIs. And you are in control of you. And you need to keep yourself motivated and disciplined to do the work and show up. So but I know that all of you listening, and myself included, will have so many amazing takeaways from interviewing these women. So I wouldn't even call them interviews. That'd be more like candid discussions. Yeah, I

really look forward to introducing more guests on here and sharing their story. So this episode is all about rituals to close out the year abundantly. And this is what I like to do at the end of every year is a couple of different things. Look, probably some of them, you will already do yourself. But I also want to use this episode as, as a way for me to be able to look back and see how far I have come. Let's just get straight into it. Alright, so the first thing that I always do, is I do sit down. And literally just daydream about what has happened, what has happened in the year, I write it down to I'm a big lover of journaling, and I'll explain to you why I'm a big lover of journaling, because it's not just journaling for the sake of journaling. Journaling is just a way for me to be able to get out my thoughts on paper. And so I can come and look back at what my thoughts are. Journaling for me, if you don't already know was exactly how I stumbled across stumbled across. But like, this is exactly how I found my my purpose in life. For a few years, I was just journaling, taking notes, things are popping my head and I just write them down. And they keep everything in a place. And when I was trying to figure out, you know, I knew I wanted a business, but I had no idea what that would actually look like. That's when I went back and I went back through my notebooks and I went back through the things that I had written down. And little components of it all started to make sense. I started to see patterns, I started to review what I done and how certain things made me feel and, and all of it. And then I went money mindset and success coaching for women in business. This is my thing, this is what I keep coming back to these are the similarities. This is my purpose. This is my purpose in life. And it was all thanks to journaling and actually writing it down. And I don't mean like, you know, you don't have to meditate every time and then sit there. It's not that's not like a long thing. It's literally just like, let's say, you know, you're walking around the house and you're tidying up the house and all of a sudden a cut like these little thoughts pop into your head, grab your notebook, jot those thoughts down and then get on with your tidying. You know, just little things will start to pop in and then as soon as you start writing that pen just keeps going. You can come back and reflect and it'll all make sense. That's what I find often generally doesn't make any sense at the time like when you're actually doing it like I don't even know where this is coming from or what this even means. But one day it will One day you will look back, and that might lead you to finding what your purpose actually is. So as I reflect on the year that was I reflect on the ops, I reflect on the downs, the lessons, the insights, the achievements, my values, and how they made me feel and a lots of different things. I even reflect on the people that I've spent my time with, you know, how have I felt, how am I energetically Am I energetically aligned to my highest self or not, because if I'm not, then something's amiss. Maybe I haven't implemented enough self care, maybe I've burned out too many times, maybe there's just areas of my life that I'm, I'm letting down, I'll give you an idea. Even like my self care, to be honest, I'm like an all or nothing kind of person. So I can easily just get caught up in what I'm doing and just going literally going full hog. And then all of a sudden, I just crash, a crash and burn. And that is a pattern that I have noticed myself as a projector, I do not have sustainable energy, like a manifesting generator to just keep going and going and going and moving really quickly. In life. And in business, I physically don't have the energy for that. And I've now become aware as being more enlightened with my human design, which is something next year hint hint that I'll be bringing into my coaching, being able to assist my clients in uncovering their own energetic blueprint for wealth and success. So stay tuned. But yeah, that's just it's definitely something that I love to do. So some of the beautiful things that come up for me this year, I've just got my diary in front of me. So I will share with you what I actually reflected on. So 2021 was wild, was definitely a wild ride. But also so much magic happened all at the same time. Right. Such a contrast this year, for me has been such a contrast. So in May, we welcomed our beautiful little girl, our last addition to the families, that's baby number three, to complete our family of five. So that was amazing. In June, I turned 30. And that also marked the time that I felt like I had an enlightening experience of knowing who I was, and what I'm here to do.

So that's when I decided to relaunch money mindset hub, as you have seen that from all your comments, and DMS, especially from longtime followers, and past clients, the shift has been everything, it was perfect. It was all in divine timing. And it was supposed to be because from what you've said, you've come back better than ever. So thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here. I appreciate you so much. So September 1, I launched the podcast that you're now listening to. And we're up to 16 episodes, and there are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of downloads, I actually haven't checked it for a little bit like when I wrote this 10 days ago, there was about 600 downloads. So that was 10 days ago. So there'll be a lot more to be over 700. Now, I'm so grateful for all the support for the podcast, it was something that I've been talking about for at least 12 months prior, I had said to a couple of people, I'm going to do a podcast, and I put it out there. And then I just finally Pull my finger out and actually did it, it was the best thing I ever did. Because the way that I communicate best is through speech, like it's through talking, and it's through engaging in this way, you know, people who just come across me on Instagram, and maybe they haven't seen me on stories or something, they can come here and they can listen and they can vibe with my energy or not, you know, see whether we're a match. Oh, we're not. Thank you so much. Thank you so much for your beautiful kind words and all of your reviews, I love them. Please keep them coming. His little reminder, if you love these podcasts, please leave me a review. I would love to see it. It honestly makes my day and it makes me keep going to. So on the fifth of December, I also clocked over 1000 followers on Instagram. Now I know that that is you know, in terms of Instagram, you know, it's not about the followers and stuff. But for me, my followers are not bought or fake or anything like that. So my follow was a literally organic growth over this time. And on my vision board, I had a picture that I shared on my stories, which was it was a picture of a 1000 balloons, well not actually 1000 balloons, but it was literally like a 1000 and they silver balloons that reflected the 1000 followers that I really wanted to aim for by the end of the year. And I finally got there. So that was honestly such a moment for me. I did celebrate that with one. I also launched a one hour ignited session which I now I literally put a goal on my board for how many sessions I wanted to get in the month and within eight days that already made it and I was so blown away by that. So thank you so much. They're still available, obviously coming back in January. because I'll be out for the next couple of weeks. But if you want to work with me for an hour, then I'll link them all in the show notes. I also felt like I had really began to actually treat this like a proper business. I know this year when I come back, it was just a different perspective. So when I started, it was more of a, I guess I still had blocks around it back in 2019. That's when I sort of started this business. And I still had my own blocks that I needed to deal with. So not only did I overcome a lot of those in the time that I took a huge break up until during this year, but then even since re launching, I have done different sorts of modalities on myself and had different coaching and therapies done on me to really enhance my self confidence, and back myself, and obviously, as well as up leveling my teaching and getting trained in different modalities that also helped my clients. And that'll all come into play. Next year, there'll be lots more coming into play next year. So I'm super excited about that I learned so, so much. I backed myself, I hired a coach one to one, so a private coach, which was scary investment at the time. But so necessary. So so necessary, you know, when I actually did that I went, Okay, someone's gonna actually pull me out of my shit, and make me do what I'm saying I'm going to do because I'm someone who has a million different ideas, right? But then I struggled to prioritize which one I need to focus on. So having that direction was really good. And it just made me get my shit together.
11:31
So I also hired a beautiful personal assistant, or social media manager, whatever she wants to call herself. And that really helped me because trying to do it all, I accepted the fact that I couldn't do it. All right. So I needed some help. And that was one of the things that was really sucking my energy was trying to create all the images are right, all the posts, so everything you see is written by me. And it's always written in a state when it just comes to me. It's an intuitive download, and I wrote it, and it resonates. I also then went and invested author, I've done the private coaching, I went and invested in my first ever mastermind, which kicks off the side of Feb. So I am thrilled to have even done that. Yeah, I just I finally feel like this year, I feel like I know my power now. And I know what is here I'm here to do and the legacy I'm here to create, and the 1000s of women that I will help and I know wholeheartedly that I can do what I say I'm going to do. I don't know it's it's a different feelings. It's like a, it's an internal shift that then has created that external competence and drive, I guess, it was definitely a big year for me, a brilliant quote that my husband said to me other day, my husband is Michael MC, whatever want to call him, he said to me, the younger version of you would be so proud of the person you are today. And I love that and I wanted to share that with you, as you reflect on the year that was because it's very easy to reflect and then go oh my god, I did so many amazing things. But what I haven't done this or but I'm still moving towards this, but I haven't gotten to here yet. Just remember, the younger version of you would be so proud of the person you are today. I think it just gives you a great perspective of how far you've come and what you've done and learn and overcome, especially when it's easy to get caught up in at all and what your yet are still yet to achieve. Life is a journey. Remember, it's not a race, and you are exactly where you are supposed to be about this. So the second thing that I do after reflection, is I pick a word of the year. So a word for the year moving into 2022 last year 2020 My word of the year was believe, to believe in myself to believe in my intuition to believe in my gut feelings to believe in what I was doing. Believe in me believe in myself. It was all about that it was just believe believe you can do it believe you can, like you know, that really resonated with me and I really needed that. So I kept coming back to that word believe in 2020. This year, my word was intention. So that meant to me that everything I did this year I did it with an intention in mind. I didn't do it just for the sake of doing it. I did it for a reason where I was spending my time how I was spending my time who I was spending my time with setting boundaries. And I had to set some boundaries as well this year and last year, some not that easy. Some not that easy. Yeah, that was my word of the year intention. So moving into next year, my word of the year is expansion. That's my word of the year moving into 2022 It's expansion I'm going into the mastermind I'm coming out with my signature program and coming back bigger and better than ever with more modalities and more offerings and an up leveling the podcast like that's what it's going to be about next year. And then not even on the business front like on Personal front, we have so many things that we're working towards more property and more money and more savings and more life. I guess the last two years have been a total shit show and a write off. So it'd be more travel and more fun and more adventures. There's so much stuff next year is literally going to be a full on year of expansion. And I cannot wait and I can't wait to share it with all of you. If you don't have a word yet, don't worry, it will come to you. But think about it. Think about like, what do you want the theme, it's just the theme of the year to be nothing kills your dream faster than fear and self doubt. So I just want your little reminder going into 2022. Do not let fear steal your joy. That's also another one of mixed great quotes. They go with these shitty dad jokes. But just remember that do not let fear steal your joy. It's actually something we tell our kids. Anyway, in closing, reflect on the year that was pick a word of the year like your theme for the year. How are you going to show up? How are you going to move forward? What's it going to look like? What are you going to do? How do you feel? And yeah, I mean, I would definitely write it down, write it down so you can reflect on it because this is a new beginnings. I feel like the end of the year and the and the going into a new year. It's just a time for a new beginning. Anyway, I'm going to close out this episode. I appreciate you so much. It warms my heart so damn much that you are even here listening to me ramble.
