The Road to Becoming Untriggerable
In a world that often bombards us with negativity, stress, and fear-mongering information, cultivating the power of becoming untriggerable is a crucial element of finding peace.
Being able to become untriggerable takes many, many years of practice in my experience and actually recognising when you are triggered and actively taking the steps to switch the thought, reprogram your mind and master your emotional intelligence is a skill, one that you can definitely cultivate.
Here is how:
1. Recognizing what is triggering you
2. Cultivating emotional awareness of how that trigger effects you
3. Developing space between the trigger and your response
4. Giving the benefit of the doubt and practising understanding toward that trigger (person or situation)
5. Choosing to respond (or not at all) in a way your untriggerable self would
6. Rewiring limiting beliefs you have around that trigger and yourself I used to be the most triggered person, everything triggered me, everyone triggered me, my internal state was so insecure, not confident, self image issues, mental health issues for few years, so I had a few hurdles to overcome to get to this point of peace within myself, my relationships and my life.
Don’t get me wrong, I still have stressers in my life and sometimes I am not super proud of my response, but the things that I struggled with for most of my life no longer effect me, And that is a beautiful place to be and I want that for you too. I hope this was helpful.
