Slowing down won’t stunt your growth or your success.
Celebrated a beautiful soon to be mumma at the most beautiful winery today.
As I was walking up to the venue overlooking the gorgeous scenery, green hills, blue sky, sun shining and the autumn leaves, it made me reflect on how precious life is and how much we sometimes get caught up in the busyness of life that often we forget about the little things.
Settling is never an option, but when you feel too much chaos in your mind it requires stillness and space to reconnect to what matters the most and why you are doing what you do.
Space is freedom,
Stillness is freedom,
Choice is freedom,
Time is the most precious thing in the world.
You can always make more women but you can never buy more time.
When someone asks how you've been, do you answer with "busy"?
If you do, practice reframing it and reminding yourself that busy isn't a badge of honour, (don't get me wrong I have said "busy" too many times to count) but I am challenging myself to not respond with that and actually say what I've been doing.
I've been doing a heap, but I also have been more intentional with my time, enjoying slow mornings with my family, reading, learning, growing as a person, observing my children growing and witnessing their growth.
But most importantly, I've been busy enjoying my life and those I love more and more without the pressure I would normally place on myself to be productive and always be doing something.
Are you choosing to focus more on the being and enjoying?
This is your reminder that slowing down won't stunt your growth or success, if anything it makes it feel so much more worth it.
