  • Welcome to the money mindset hub podcast. I'm your host, Carla Townsend, and money mindset and success coach on a mission to normalize feminine wealth through empowering the minds of fierce females in business, you're in the right place, if you are a female who wants to become a vibrational match to attract more wealth, freedom and abundance, but you just keep getting stuck or there's something amiss. There's something blocking you from attracting that desired level of success and reaching your highest potential. So I'll be talking all things money mindset, energetics of money manifestation law of attraction, CEO mindset, and much, much more. Because the world needs more kind hearted women like you with deep pockets. So let's get started. So I used to get so caught up in like the process that I had to do like following this step, following that step, I saw other people do it. And I thought, oh, that's, that's what I should be doing. That's what I should be creating, selling, achieving aspiring to be. But I just continued, I guess to, to, like fall short, because I procrastinate because it didn't always feel easy. To me. It was like, I've heard that saying all the time, you should follow the path of least resistance. But I just continue to not do that. I just kept going, No, I need this strategy. I need this step, I need that step. And don't get me wrong. I absolutely love doing courses and learning. But I've learned that just because they say to do it this way doesn't mean that you have to do it that way. Especially when you have to use your own mind, you have to think of your own ideas, and you have to put your own spin on things. If it's like a software thing, obviously follow steps A to Z and you'll get this outcome. Yeah, great. But in terms of like, you know, when it comes to courses that are developing you from a personal aspect, it's not always follow A to Zed, and you'll get this outcome, it's whatever you actually put into it. So you take with it with a grain of salt, or you take away whatever you want to take away. And I think that all those lessons are worth it. Because no matter what, if even if you just do, you get one gem from a book, just one little gem, and I remember this back from past manager, he'd always say like, if you just get one gem out of an experience, a book or a course or whatever it might be something that you've learned, then it was worth it just for that one thing alone, even if it was, you know, 10 hours of study, and you only took away that one sentence, that one sentence that one little keynote of knowledge could be the thing that changes the trajectory of where you're headed and your life and your decisions. And then what comes from after that. So I guess what I'm saying is, that's where I realized that I needed to step into more of my gut feeling. And I feel like I do have quite strong intuition I do when I, when I actually sit still and just be which I mean, let's be real, I've got three kids four and under. So it's not always the easiest to just, you know, sit there be still and have like silence. But if I do listen to a meditation, or I'm just listening to music, even or, you know, I might be like learning something on, you know, YouTube or a course or whatever it might be, then I go, Oh, hang on, like all those things just start flowing into my mind, like all these ideas and these thoughts and go follow this or do this and it like it instantly will be like sign up to that. Do that. Now sometimes, there's obviously that, you know, you've got to filter it through the lens of like, shiny object syndrome, right? Like, you can download all like all the freebies and stuff. And you could be like, Oh, get this, I'll get this, I'll get that. But that's not really your intuition speaking, that's your mind going out, they must be right, they must do it that way I have to do it that way, I have to have this thing. And you're just consuming so much information. So much information overload can really cloud your judgment, it can cloud where you actually want to go and it's putting so many other people's ideas in your head instead of filtering through your own lens, and your own gut feeling of like, Oh, that's great. Like, that's a really good piece of knowledge. And then all of a sudden, the idea popped in your head. And this is the way that you spin it. Yeah, I mean, I hope that that just made sense. That was just a whole, like, brain dump of, I guess where I sort of, I realized, Oh, stop trying to do all the things. Just trust your gut, trust your intuition, let it flow, but take those gems away and, and do those things and learn and I don't think there's any real such thing as failure, right? I don't think you can actually fail in life. That itself was a huge limiting belief that I had, because I until I guess recently, when I sort of started to work through it was I always thought, you know, I'm such a failure. You know, I dropped out of uni twice, I did health science, and I dropped out of that and I did nursing, I dropped out of that because it just didn't feel good. It wasn't me. It wasn't the right time. It wasn't what I wanted to do. I just did it because I thought that's what you had to do to be successful. You know, I'm sure so many people are in that same boat. They think that

    4:57

in order to be successful and to earn that good money and Do what you love and blah, blah, blah, blah, you have to, you know, finish high school, get a degree, get a good job doing whatever it might be. And I guess I was disappointed from the start, which is why when I finished high school, I missed out on getting into, believe it or not podiatry, I wanted to be a podiatrist. For a few years, I wanted to be podiatry. And for some reason that still little voice in my head is like, you could still do that. From there from that point when I didn't make that course. And then, you know, I dropped out of that degree, and I dropped out of the next degree. And then I just went, Oh, what am I suppose to do with my life? From there, I felt this, this big feeling of like, oh, you're just a failure Collie. You can't say anything through you can't finish anything. You're not good enough. You're this, you're that so many things. And so I guess, all of that. And look, I'm still working through a lot. I think everyone is always always working through their limiting beliefs. I feel like there's just constantly new layers, like an onion, right? Like, you go through the top surface level stuff, and you get a breakthrough, and you start to feel better, and you build up momentum, but then up, something comes up. And then you've got that next layer of that belief. And it could even be the same belief, but it just keeps popping back up. But it pops back up for a reason. It pops back up because you, you need to work through it. But there's something there's something there. And there's a reason you need to get pushed past, right. So the saying that like, I mean, you know, count with myself, but I love it is, you know, everything you desire and deserve is just on the other side of your own resistance. One day, that sentence just popped into my head. And I was like, That's it. That's my mantra, you know, that's my mantra, everything you desire and deserve is just on the other side of your own resistance. And it is like, it really is. And then the other ones that popped into my head when it comes to do with like, you know, everything law of attraction, manifesting energy, vibration, whatever, all of that sort of stuff. I used to just think, Oh, that's a bit Woo. Like, that's a bit not me, that's a bit too spiritual. That's, you know, and I'm not really a spiritual person, I'm definitely more logical, analytical, but there's something out there, there's something more than what I can see. And, and I've got this burning desire to be more, do more, have more experience more live a life of my dreams, and I feel like I'm worthy of that. But these limiting beliefs continue to stop me and, and pulls where I'm at. So yeah, anyway, that's kind of what that mantra, you know, everything you desire and deserve is just on the other side of your own resistance. Because I felt constantly so much resistance, you know, I, I started off doing money coaching. But you know, what, I sort of started with the whole thing where everyone starts from, how do you start? What do you know? Like, if you don't know what your passion is, you don't know what your purpose in life is? You've got no idea and no idea where to start? Then I learned what are those things? How do I do all that? How do I start tapping in? How do I? How do I settle that, and that's a whole nother conversation. But when I started doing those things, I started realizing that I was actually more so looking for external validation, and not so much going with my gut. But I guess I just didn't trust my gut, you know, I didn't trust like, I know what I need to do. And it's already within me, I was looking for, like, how did she do it? How did she do it? What do they think? What does they think you know? But then I realized, hang on, when I actually had a crack, and I thought, Alright, whatever, I'll just go with this money coaching. And I'll just start from there. And then I did get a handful of clients. And then I, you know, I created this program, myself, just based on the method that I was following. And I know what works and helped other people. And I knew that it worked. And then I got paid for it. i Well, and truly undercut myself in terms of, you know, her clients saying, you should charge way more for this, because, you know, you've changed my life. And they're like, Oh, it was incredible. It was amazing. But at the same time, I just I kept shortcutting myself, but then I realized it wasn't until I actually created that program, and I gave the money coaching a crack. That was when I realized Holy shit. I just created my own website, my own business from pretty much top my head just sat there knuckle down, created this whole program. When I did that, and I actually received that money in my account, from a program that I in the easiest way to put it as I created out of thin air, like I created it just from my brain, and I put it on a document, and I sold it, and I delivered it and I got the money. I thought, wow. So what else can I create and get paid for what else and not in terms of like, Oh, I'm just gonna create a shit and get paid for it more like, like, how else can I serve? And does this feel good? And that's when I pivoted from money coaching to more mindset, which is where I truly am passionate. So we'll see where we go from here.
